(Trinidad Express) Former Prime Minister Patrick Manning suffered a seizure at his constituency office in San Fernando this afternoon, and is tonight at the Emergency Department of the San Fernando General Hospital.

48 held by police after Tiger Bay raid

During this morning, police say they conducted a cordon and search operation in the Rosemary Lane (Tiger Bay) area, Georgetown, during which a quantity of electrical items, including television sets and stereo equipment, and seven motor cycles that are suspected stolen or unlawfully obtained were seized.

Tourism sector gearing up for CPLT20 tourney

Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Irfaan Ali said his ministry will be gearing up to take advantage of the benefits of staging matches in the inaugural Caribbean Premier League T20 (CPL) cricket tournament following the news that Guyana is one of the six franchise countries  which will host matches in this year’s tournament which runs from July 29 to August 6.
