Buxton United and Pele FC recorded wins as action in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super League continued last Sunday with two matches at the Buxton Community Centre and Wisburg grounds respectively.
Buxton United defeated Beterverwagting by one goal to nil at the Buxton Community Centre ground. Michael Phyil kicked in the winning goal for Buxton in the 15th minute.
Milerock FC was defeated by Pele by the odd goal in three. Kanata Manning in the seventy-seventh minute and Stellon David in the eighty-first minute scored for Pele whilst Ron Fiedtkou found the nets in the twenty-seventh minute for Milerock.
Action continues today at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground with Western Tigers and Den Amstel colliding at 18:00hrs and Alpha United clashing with Uitvlugt at 20:00 hrs.
Alpha United lead the standings with 25 points with Pele second with 21 points and BK Western Tigers closely behind on 20 points.
