(Trinidad Express) Bollywood stars Rani Mukherjee and Arjun Rampal will not be coming to Trinidad.
The celebrities were scheduled to perform tonight at a concert titled “Bollywood Night” at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya.
Concert promoter Tony Ramesar told the Express in a telephone interview yesterday that the show was cancelled because the stars encountered some visa problems.
Ramesar said approximately 4,500 tickets were sold for the show as of yesterday at 10 a.m.
He promised that full refunds will be given.
“We apologise sincerely for this, we understand that everyone was prepared and so excited for the show,” he said.
Ramesar said all money for the show came from his pocket and he did not pick up any of the funds from ticket sales.
He said patrons who bought tickets can return them to the place of purchase and they will receive a full refund.
