Vendor accused of stealing toilet seats

A vendor was on Tuesday accused of stealing a quantity of toilet seats from another vendor.

It is alleged that on December 21, 2012 at Georgetown, Rawle Adams stole 24 toilet seats valued $120,000 and which was the property of Fayanne Harris.

Adams, 42, of 26 West Road, Sparendaam denied the charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

The prosecution had no objections to Adams being granted his pre-trial liberty and bail was set in the sum of $80,000.

The matter will be called again on January 31.
