GENERAL EQUIPMENT, Farm Supplies donate $2M to St Joseph Mercy

Marking 20 years of service in Guyana, GENERAL EQUIPMENT GUYANA Ltd, headed by Renger van Dijk , donated 1 million dollars earlier this month towards the rehabilitation of the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. A release from the company said that van Dijk stated that even though they have been in service for 20 years within the agriculture sector in Guyana, it was time to not only focus on the company’s growth but that of other entities here.

He said that St. Joseph Mercy Hospital being an important health care provider was seen as one such opportunity to give back to. He also took the opportunity to donate an additional 1 million dollars on behalf of the affiliated company, Farm Supplies Ltd.

Collecting the donation on behalf of Mercy Hospital was Christopher Fernandes who applauded the company and highlighted the importance of such donations to the rebuilding of the hospital which had been ravaged by fire.
