It was alleged that Ross on January 26, at Caesar Street, Agricola, unlawfully assaulted and maliciously wounded Haslyn Richards so as to disable, disfigure or cause him actual bodily harm.

Police prosecutor Venetta Pindar noted that Ross is involved with Richards’ niece and they reside at the same place.

Attorney Paul Fung-a-Fat, who represented Ross, told the court that Richards beat his client and burst his head. He pointed out the stitches Ross received due to his injuries and said that there should be a case of assault brought against Richards.

In seeking bail, he said Ross was willing to relocate, but when asked by the magistrate where he would relocate to, the accused failed to gave an address to the court.

Pindar objected to bail, noting that the accused has no fixed placed of abode and also that he could tamper with witnesses.

Magistrate Daly, after listening to submissions, refused bail and remanded Ross to prison until February 11, when the case will be called again.
