Two pedestrians unconscious after accidents

Two pedestrians, Kurtis George, 30, and Sydney Kingston, 74, are both currently in an unconscious state at the Georgetown Public Hospital after being knocked down yesterday in two separate accidents.

Reports stated that about 4:35 pm, George was about to cross the road when he was hit a by a car which allegedly was speeding at the time.
Hospital officials said that the man suffered injuries to the head as a result of the impact.

Kingston, of the East La Penitence night shelter, was struck down by a minibus and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital by the driver who is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
