Leos clothe the less fortunate

On March 9, Leos from the East Demerara, Ruimveldt, and South Georgetown Leo clubs donated nine large boxes of clothing which were distributed to residents of the Night Shelter, the Mahaica Children’s Home and the Drop-in Centre for street children.

A release from the club said that this ensured that a shelter/ home in each club’s area of service benefited.

According to the Leo Associate for Guyana, Aretha Forde, “this clothing drive and other service activities show that there are still young people committed to making a positive difference in our society.”  The Leos thanked all the individuals who contributed to a successful project.
