Police Public Relations Officer Ivelaw Whitaker told Stabroek News that police made the relevant checks and found that McLean-Cutting had left the country legally on March 12 and returned yesterday morning via the same route.

It is unclear why the woman may have done this, but officials said that she might have been having domestic issues at home. Up to last evening, she and her aunt, Pearline Gilkes, who made the report were assisting officers with investigations at the East La Penitence Police Station.

Meanwhile, Donnette Hope, 14, of Castello Housing Scheme, who went missing after leaving school on Tuesday, has also been found. The child was seen leaving after school was dismissed.

Her father said he had received information yesterday about his daughter’s whereabouts after the article about her disappearance was published in this newspaper.
