Supervisor of the airport taxi service Abdul Bascom was released on $10,000 bail last Thursday, after he denied assaulting a man at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri (CJIA).
It was alleged that on March 12, at CJIA, Bascom, 33 of Lot 253 Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke, Linden Highway, unlawfully assaulted Wazir Manjoor.
The prosecution had no objections to bail when the case was called before Magistrate Leslie Sobers at the Providence Magistrate’s Court. Bascom was subsequently granted bail and the case was adjourned until April 17 for the filing of statements.
