Surinamese team for 2013 Rodeo

The Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) yesterday welcomed 23 Surinamese, who are visiting for the Rupununi Rodeo to be held this weekend, in Lethem, Region Nine.

GINA said that the GTA, in collaboration with Dagron Tours and Adventure Guiana, has made this event possible. The visitors are expected to be in Lethem by this morning.

The trip includes travel through the beautiful rainforest, and a stop-over at the amazing Kumu falls. “It is said that the Kumu falls is a touch of ‘God’s hands on your shoulders’ because it takes away all your stress,” Ali, said according to GINA.

The Rodeo which is held every Easter Weekend usually involves vaqueros from ranches throughout the Rupununi, and from neighbouring Brazil.
