At about 1230h today, police say that Joseph Harry, 47 years, of Ankerville, Corentyne, Berbice, was travelling on the step of the tray of a motor lorry along the Port Mourant, Public Road, Corentyne, when he fell off.
Harry suffered injuries and was taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.
The driver of the motor lorry has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
