Chief Executive Officer and Medical Superinten-dent of the Woodlands Hospital Dr. Neville Gobin yesterday morning tendered his resignation, effective immediately.
Gobin, an obstetrician and gynecologist, would only confirm that he resigned and noted that he will inform the public shortly of his decision. This newspaper was told that he will be moving his practice shortly.
Sources close to the hospital informed that there was a fallout between Gobin and directors, hence his abrupt decision but hospital officials would not comment.
Gobin, who is one of Guyana’s most prominent OB/GYNs, has been practicing for over 40 years.
