The eight other mothers who are employees from the company were also presented with bags and jugs along with beauty products.

Making brief remarks during a simple ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of the BBCI, Omadatt Samaroo said last year only the mothers from the company were honoured.

This year, he said they decided to include Premraj, who is said to be the oldest woman in the community. He said they are “trying to improve every year” and he hopes that next year would be better and that a few more mothers would be included.

Premraj who is originally from Belmont, Mahaica is a mother of five and a widow. She said she would be relaxing tomorrow and her children and grandchildren would be treating her on Mothers’ Day.
