Support sought for man who needs another kidney transplant

The mother and family of Satish Gobin are reaching out to the public for financial assistance for the 22-year-old who needs another renal transplant as the one he now has is showing signs of rejection.

Gobin had a kidney transplant in India for end stage renal failure which brought him out of a severe uremic state, ultimately saving his life.

Unfortunately, despite medical follow up both at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and via correspondence with his renal surgeon in India, his transplanted kidney has now started to show evidence of transplant rejection.

At this point, his family says it is imperative that Satish be assessed urgently by his renal transplant surgeon who is based in India.
Screening tests to evaluate Satish’s current renal impairment recommended by the renal transplant specialist are not available in Guyana. Satish and his parents are facing severe financial restraints to get the above mentioned recommended treatment.

The surgery will be done at the Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute. The family now needs US $25000 or  $5, 118, 190 for the operation.

Those desirous of rendering assistance to the operation can deposit in Republic Account number Acc#164-859-1, or can contact his mother, Shureen Ragbeer on telephone numbers 276-0953 and 662-7872.
