Three communities to benefit from joint eye care mission

Three communities (Wales, Cane Grove and One Mile Linden) will this week, benefit from a joint eye care mission by overseas and local eye care specialists.

The Ministry of Health is collaborating with the University of Guyana, University of the West Indies – St. Augustine, Trinidad, University of California – Berkeley and the Guyana Association of Optometrists (GOA) to host the joint eye care mission on the following dates:

May 29 – Wales Community Centre, West Bank Demerara; May 30 – Cane Grove Health Centre; May 31 – One Mile Health Centre, Wismar, Linden.

Persons will be able to have free eye tests and acquire spectacles free of cost, if needed.
The outreach clinics will commence at 9:00hrs and conclude at 15:00hrs on each day.
