At about 2145h yesterday, police say that Eon Daniels, 32 years, of Campbell Street, Albouystown, was confronted at his home by two men armed with a handgun and a cutlass.
During the ensuing altercation, police say that Daniels was shot to his right knee and chopped to his back by the men who escaped.
Daniels has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.
Investigations are in progress.
