Women released on self-bail after denying abusive language charges

Two women charged separately with using abusive and threatening language to other women were yesterday released on self-bail.

At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, it was alleged that on June 21, at Georgetown, Iana Byron used abusive language to Royda Bess.  Byron, a hairdresser of 132 Orealla Street, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge when she appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
