At about 2125h last night, police say that Tyrone Boodhoo, 32 years, of Better Hope, ECD, and a female friend Martha Mohamed, 23 years, were at the seawalls in the vicinity of Vryheid’s Lust, ECD, when they were confronted by two men who ordered them to lie on the ground.
At this stage Boodhoo attempted to escape and was shot by one of the men. He was pronounced DOA at the GPHC.
The perpetrators took away a cell phone from Mohamed and escaped.
Investigations are in progress.
