A man was shot to his abdomen last evening as gunmen tried to rob Johnny P Supermarket in South Ruimveldt Park.
Freddy Fernandes of Kitty was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was being treated up to press time. It is not clear whether the men escaped with any cash or valuables.
A public-spirited citizen who took Fernandes to the hospital said that he was at home, a few blocks away,
