North R’veldt man denies stoning woman’s house

A 62-year-old man was on Thursday summoned to answer two charges at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, including stoning a woman’s house.

It is alleged that Dennis Maloney, on August 2, at 3437 Jacksonville, North Ruimveldt, used abusive language towards Joan Blake and also on the same day he threw bricks on the roof of her home.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges

Maloney told the court that it was Blake who was the trouble maker and not him. “These people throwing bricks on my house and garbage in my yard. They even broke in and stole my belongings,” he added.

With no objections to bail from Prosecutor Vishnu Hunt, Maloney was released on $5,000 bail on each charge.

The case will be called on September 9 at Court One.
