Brothers ordered to keep the peace

Two brothers were yesterday put on bonds to keep the peace after one admitted to threatening the other.

Berkley Gaskin pleaded guilty to using threatening language to Delroy Gaskin on August 16, at Albouystown.

Attorney Dexter Todd told the court that Berkley has medical issues. He said that Berkley had suffered an injury, which he thinks affects the way he relates to people. “What would be more effective here is an order for him to receive medical treatment,” Todd said.

Magistrate Fabayo Azore subsequently placed Berkley on a bond to keep the peace for six months.

This angered Berkley, who exclaimed that his brother Delroy was a trouble maker and he felt that in order for peace to prevail his brother should be placed on a bond as well. He said that he was assaulted by Delroy as well. Delroy, however, stated that he had no idea what Berkley was talking about. Nevertheless, they were both placed on bonds to keep the peace for six months.
