Teen hospitalised in unconscious state after Garden of Eden accident

A young businessman was hospitalised in an unconscious state last evening following an accident at Garden of Eden last evening.

According to eyewitnesses, Harinand Boodram, 18, of Lot 336 Sachi Bazaar, Prashad Nagar, was speeding along the Garden of Eden Public Road with in a pick-up truck when he lost control of the vehicle and ran into a trench.

At the time, his two brothers, who are 17 and 13, were in the vehicle.

Eyewitnesses stated that the occupants of the vehicle were trapped in the vehicle for approximately an hour before they were taken out and then transported by a family member to a private hospital in Georgetown.

When Stabroek News visited that family and spoke to mother of the three boys, Diana Boodram, she was too distraught to speak. She stated that she was very worried for her son, Harinand, who is also a race car driver, since he was unconscious. The young man operates a shop owned by his parents in the interior.
