The Climate Change Division, housed in the Office of the President complex, on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive was today affected by a small fire, according to a statement by the Office of the President. No one was injured.
The fire was quickly extinguished by staff with support from the Guyana Fire Service (GFS), the statement said.
Work in the Climate Change, Accounts and Personnel Divisions which are all housed in the same building was affected, it added.
The GFS is conducting investigations.
