Dr Monica Odwin is new Regional Health Services Director

The Ministry of Health has announced that Dr Monica Odwin has been appointed Regional Health Services Director.

At a press briefing on Monday, Minister Dr Bheri Ramsarran said Dr Odwin has 30 years of experience in the medical field.

According to a Government Information Agency report her portfolio includes a Doctor of Medicine in Anaesthetics from the University of the West Indies, a Masters in Health Management, Planning and Policy from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the University of London.

 

Dr Odwin said these qualifications and her years of experience would help her to successfully execute her duties.

Dr Odwin replaces Dr Irv Chan, the press release said.
