Police yesterday conducted a narcotics eradication operation at Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
According to a police press release, two fields of cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants, about 10 acres in size, were found with approximately 100,000 plants ranging in height between 3 feet and 10 feet.
According to the release, the plants were destroyed along with nurseries and a large quantity of seedlings, and three camps.
Two men were arrested and are in police custody. Charges will be made shortly.
