At about 1350h. today, police say that Lochanie Yaspaul, 52 years, of Hibernia Village, Essequibo Coast, was riding a bicycle along the Hibernia Public Road when she was struck down by a motor car that was travelling behind. She succumbed to the injuries received.
Investigations are in progress.
