A woman was hit down and killed yesterday afternoon while driving her bicycle along the Hibernia Public Road, Essequibo Coast.
According to a press release, around 13:50 hrs Yaspaul was riding a bicycle “when she was struck down by a motor car”. The car had been travelling behind her. The release said that she succumbed to the injuries received.
Police did not indicate whether they had the driver in police custody but said that investigations are in progress.
Stabroek News was unable to make contact with her relatives.
