The decomposing body of an elderly woman was yesterday morning discovered in her home at Middle Walk, Buxton, East Coast Demerara and police are awaiting a post-mortem examination to determine how she died.
The dead woman has been identified as 69-year-old Avril Cromwell.
Stabroek News was told that the woman lived alone and although she had relatives living nearby no one realized that she had not been seen for several days. It is believed that she had been dead for at least five days.
The body is at the Lyken’s Funeral home.
