Former Deputy Mayor of Georgetown Herbert ‘Herbie’ Harper passed away yesterday at the age of 89.
A notice in today’s Stabroek News says that Harper was an ex-Royal Air Force Serviceman, General Manager of GRECO and Manager of Guyana Stores Limited.
The notice said that he leaves to mourn his wife Meazon, children Denise Dias, Beverley Harper, Tracy Harper, Keith Harper and other relatives.
The notice said that in keeping with his and his family’s wishes, no wake will be held. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
