Region Five in pre-Eid celebration

For the first time, the Regional Democratic Council of Region Five yesterday hosted a pre Eid-ul-Adha programme, to highlight the sacrifices that Muslims will perform today.

The administration joined with the Muslim community to mark this joyous occasion with recitation of portions of the Holy Quran, a lecture by Imam Moses Haniff, an acrostic and a skit which depicted the story of the Prophet Ibrahim. The audience was also treated to a melodious rendering of qaseedas and a chant.
