Teen accountant accused of stealing clothes

Accountant Kalisha Vaughn, 19, was yesterday granted $50,000 bail after being charged with stealing clothes.

The charge read at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court stated that on October 17, at Fifth Street, Alberttown, Vaughn stole five pieces of clothing, valued $16,000, from Tina Joaquin.

She pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Magistrate Judy Latchman, enquired whether Vaughn had any pending matters or convictions and she said no.

Prosecutor Vishnu Hunt did not object to bail, which was subsequently set at $50,000. The case was adjourned until October 30, when it will be called at Court 10.
