Essequibo woman dies from burns in fire set by husband

Tameshwarie Naharry who suffered first degree burns after a fire on Wednesday, succumbed to her injuries around midday yesterday while receiving treatment in the Burn Care Unit at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Naharry, 56, of Zorg, Essequibo Coast was asleep in her room when her reputed husband, Patrick Seepaul doused the building and then set it on fire.

Seepaul’s body was found later the same day and it is believed that he committed suicide by ingesting poison.
