A 19-year-old West Bank Demerara teenager is now a patient of the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was trampled by a horse while at a horse race on Sunday afternoon last at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara. He sustained broken ribs and a damaged organ.
Mark Anthony Paul of Lot 2 Samaroo Dam, Pouderoyen told this newspaper that he left his home around 4 pm to go to the race. “I was at home helping my sister and then I saw one of my friends who was driving a Canter truck and I asked him for a drop down the road and then I end up at the horse race.”
