Laparkan at America’s largest air and sea cargo trade show

Laparkan Shipping is among hundreds of international logistics providers participating in the November 6 – 8, 2013 Americas Air and Sea Cargo Show and Conference at the Miami DoubleTree Hotel and Convention Centre.

Hosted by the World Trade Centre, Miami and Port Miami, the 3-day conference and show features leading international executives, manufacturers, importers, exporters, airlines, freight forwarders, brokers and logistics providers and government officials responsible for the future direction of the air and maritime cargo industries.

A release from Laparkan said that their delegation is led by Chairman, Glen Khan and includes Vice Chairman Hussein Haniff and John Green, Laparkan Airways Network Manager. Laparkan will also have a booth at the trade exhibition.

Khan described the conference as “an important forum for the cargo industry as it provides an opportunity for the major players in the business to assess current trends in trade and the transport of goods around the world. ]

We will also be looking at issues such as rates, port and airport facilities and the very critical issue of security.”

According to the release, John Green said that the event will provide an opportunity for negotiations with other air cargo providers about collaborative arrangements designed to provide cost efficient services to customers. On Saturday, following the conference and show, from 11 am to 2 pm, Laparkan will host a customer appreciation day as part of the celebration of Laparkan’s 30th anniversary at their office and warehouse at 3750 West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

A highlight of the event will be an opportunity for customers to receive an autographed replica of the cricket ball used by former West Indies world record wicket taker Lance Gibbs who will be present to sign the balls and take photographs with customers.

The release said that Gibbs, a Laparkan marketing representative, said that the event will be festive yet informative.
