Attempted murder accused remanded

A West Ruimveldt man was yesterday remanded on an attempted murder charge after a court heard that his alleged victim had to have one his kidneys removed. Sherwin Pinder of 295 West Ruimveldt, appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court charged with unlawful wounding with intent to murder.

According to prosecutor Deniro Jones, Pinder wounded Charles Dale Aaron on October 21st on Cross Street, with the intent to murder him. Aaron was absent from the proceedings due to his hospitalisation. Jones, however, noted that one of Aaron’s kidneys had been removed due to the wounds inflicted by Pinder.

Pinder was subsequently remanded to prison and is to return to court on November 27th.
