The police say that at about 1850h yesterday, Anil France, 16 years, of Waramuri Mission, NWD, was on the Parika Public Road when it is alleged that he attempted to cross the road and was struck down by a motor car. He was pronounced DOA at the Leonora Cottage Hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
The police say they are also investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 0010h. today at Crabwood Creek Public Road, Corentyne, and which resulted in the death of David Seelall, 18 years, of Sisters Village, EBB.
Investigations have revealed that Seelall was a passenger in a motor car that crashed into a utility pole after the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. The police say that he suffered injuries and was pronounced DOA at the Skeldon Hospital.
Two other occupants have been admitted to the New Amsterdam while the driver was treated and sent away. He is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
