At about 2100h last night, police say that two boats collided in the vicinity of Muritaro, Upper Demerara River killing two people.
Dale Duggin, 28 years, of Muritaro Village, who was the captain of one of the boats, and his passenger Williamson Felix sustained injuries to which they succumbed.
Telford Lim, 33 years, of Malali, Upper Demerara River, and his two passengers Michael Edwards of Endeavour, Lower Demerara River, and Travis Gilkes of Malali were rescued, police said.
Lim is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
