Guyanese drowns in Barbados

Patrick Serraio, a Guyanese,l 47 years, of Gibbs St. Peter died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados on November 30 after being pulled from the sea by two men, police on the island say.

Serraio went to Gibbs beach for a bath, according to a statement from the police.

“After 15 minutes in the water he was seen floating without making any movements.  He was pulled from the sea by two men, placed on the sand and they tried to resuscitate him. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead. Police are continuing investigations”, the statement said.
