‘Christmas in the Park’ begins on Sunday

The Protected Areas Commission (PAC) is inviting the public to ‘Christmas in the Park’ at the Botanical Gardens.

According to an invitation issued by the PAC, there will be a grand steel pan concert on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 4.00 pm under the gardens’ bandstand, featuring steel pan bands from the Ministry of Culture’s Music School, the Buxton Pride, and Pan Wave steel orchestra. At the same time a smaller band will entertain patrons in the GT&T Benab of the National Park.

There will be a Tree Lighting ceremony on Tuesday, December 17 at 7.00 pm in the National Park (Albert Street Entrance). The public is invited to enjoy steel pan favourites from the Buxton Steel Orchestra, while the PAC lights the park’s trees.
