Burnt bodies found in T&T

(Trinidad Express) Two bodies were found in a burnt out car in the Heights of Guanapo, Arima just after midnight yesterday.

The remains may be that of cousins Jerome and Dale Ramsahai, of Seuradge Trace, Debe. The burnt out car is a Nissan Tiida, the same make and model owned by one of the Ramsahai cousins.

The Ramsahai cousins are related to Liana Ramsahai, a attorney who is the Deputy Chairman of the State owned Caribbean New Media Group (CNMG).

Their family told the Express today that they only found out about the bodies, when it was reported on the television news at noon.

According to police, at around 12:15a.m today, officers of the Arima Police and Fire Stations responded to an anonymous tip that a car was on fire at 3 3/4 mile mark, Heights of Guanapo.

The blaze was extinguished, and upon checking the vehicle, the officers found the bodies of two persons in the trunk burnt beyond recognition.

The bodies have been taken to the Forensic Science Centre, St James.

The Express has been told that dental records are being used to make a positive identification.

Relatives were this afternoon asked to give DNA samples, towards making a positive identification.

In Debe, relatives gathered at the homes of Jerome and Dale Ramsahai.

The Express was told that they were last seen on Sunday night, when they left home separately to go the apartment they shared in Port-of-Spain, during the week.

Jerome is a loans officer with Scotia Bank Port-of-Spain and Dale works as an Information Technology Coordinator.
