(Jamaica Gleaner) The police have launched a top-level probe into the murder of a constable in Clarendon this morning.
Constable Michael Townsend of the Junction Police was killed in Effortville district, Clarendon about 11:30 a.m.
The Police High Command says it notes the incident with regret.
The details of the murder have not been released, but the police have promised to provide more information as soon as possible.
