Two students die in Jamaica crash

(Jamaica Gleaner) Two male students of the Caribbean Maritime Institute have been confirmed dead following a motor vehicle crash along the Palisadoes main road in Kingston.

They have been identified as Luke Dillion, 18, and 21-year-old O’Brien Tapper.

It is reported that the crash happened at 1:15 p.m.

The students were heading towards the Harbour View round-a-bout when their car collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero which was heading towards the airport.

Fire personnel spent several minutes trying to pry the bodies from the mangled hatch-back Honda Civic motorcar in which the two were travelling.

The incident caused a slowdown of traffic as passersby tried to get a glimpse.

The circumstances that led to the crash have not yet been reported.
