(Jamaica Gleaner) A businesswoman was shot dead as she left her home near Weymouth Drive in Washington Gardens, south St Andrew yesterday morning.
She has been identified as 29-year-old Melissa Clarke, more popular known as Denise.
Clarke operated Lavish Eyelash, a cosmetology store, located in Central Plaza, in Half Way Tree. Relatives say Clarke leaves behind a four-year-old daughter.
According to one relative, Clarke had just closed the gate to her home and got into her grey BMW motorcar when a white car approached.
It’s reported that the occupants of the vehicle opened fire, hitting her three times.
Clarke was rushed to hospital where she died.
