Jamaica’s first medical marijuana company to be opened

(Jamaica Gleaner) History is expected to be created in Jamaica next week when internationally renowned Jamaican scientist Professor Henry Lowe opens the country’s first medical marijuana company.

Lowe says the company intends to extract the medicinal value from the addictive elements of ganja and use the content to make products.

Professor Lowe also says he plans to list the company on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

There are indications that drugs produced from marijuana could be used to treat psychosis and severe pain, and Professor Lowe asserted that inroads were being made into the treatment of mid-life crises in men.
