New search yields no clues on missing GEA worker

A search along the Soesdyke highway came up empty yesterday for clues to the whereabouts of the missing Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) Field Manager Levoy Taljit.

Stabroek News was told that a search was done from the densely forested location where Taljit’s vehicle had been found in late December, some distance away from the Splashmins Fun Park and Resort.

Taljit, 25, had been scheduled to go to the supermarket with his mother just hours before he went missing on December 23. The only suspect in the case has been released from police custody and investigators appear no closer to cracking the case.

Relatives are still praying for his safe return and are asking anyone knowing his whereabouts to contact them on telephone numbers 226-0433, 226-7336, 666-4012 or make contact with the nearest police station.
