Shot Enterprise block maker discharged from hospital

Enterprise block maker Rajendra Singh was yesterday discharged from the Georgetown Public Hospital.

A relative yesterday confirmed that doctors have decided to postpone Singh’s surgery to have a bullet removed from his abdomen.

It was however related that the lodged bullet does not pose a threat to the health of Singh.

Singh, 33, was rushed to the Hospital on January 24 after a robbery at his Lot 14 K Drive, Enterprise home.

He was initially on life support after a gunshot wound left him with a damaged liver and kidney.

Police stated that about 10:20 hrs, two men armed with a firearm and a knife attacked Singh’s brother, Dinesh, 16, while he was on the veranda of his home at Enterprise.

An eyewitness said that Singh entered the yard and proceeded up the stairs leading to the veranda where his brother was being battered.

It was also stated that as Singh was climbing the stairs, the bandits, who were armed with a knife and a gun, fired three shots in his direction and one pierced his abdomen.
