Four prisoners charged with wounding another inmate

Four inmates of the Camp Street prison were yesterday charged with wounding a fellow inmate, when they appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

It was alleged that Kurleigh Goodluck, 30, Ryan Adams, 20, Sherwin Mc Donald, 23, and Sherwin Goodluck, 26, on April 16, at the Georgetown prison, inflicted grievous bodily harm on Dilon Kryenhoff.

The quartet pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to them by Magistrate Judy Latchman.

The four men are currently in prison on a murder change.

Prosecutor Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt told the court that the virtual complainant (VC) is currently an inmate at the Camp Street Prison and he was unable to attend court because he is unwell.

The matter was then transferred to court one before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry for a return date.

When the matter was heard in that court, Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick stated that the VC had received multiple lacerations about his body.

The magistrate ordered that they return to court on April 29.
