At about 0730h today, police say that motor lorry GJJ 7750 and motor car HB 8254, which were travelling in opposite directions, collided on the Land of Canaan Public Road, EBD.
Sooklall Roopnarine, 42 years, of Soesdyke, EBD, who was driving the motor car, suffered injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Diamond Hospital.
The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
