The police say that investigations are being conducted into the murder of farmer Titus Sutton, 53 years, of Melanie Damishana, ECD, which occurred at about 1530h. yesterday at Baracara, Canje River, Berbice.
Police say that investigations have so far revealed that Sutton was involved in an argument with another man who allegedly shot him to his chest with a shotgun. Sherwin McAlmont, 34 years, also of Melanie Damishana, ECD, was shot and injured to his right thigh by the suspect who escaped.
McAlmont has been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital for medical treatment.
